Pantera Legend Vinnie Paul Snubbed By Grammy Awards02-12-2019
![]() The Grammy Awards continued their tradition of snubbing iconic metal musicians who have passed by not including later Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott in their In Memoriam tribute this year. The annual awards show was broadcast on Sunday night (February 10th) and while they noted a number of musicians who had passed away over the past year, Vinnie Paul was not included. Pantera were nominated for several Grammy's during their career as well as being one of the most popular and best-selling metal and rock bands of the 1990s. In the past the Grammy Awards have not included a number of notable metal musicians including Slayer's Jeff Hanneman, Slipknot's Paul Gray and Type O Negative's Peter Steele.
