Watch Rush Perform With New Drummer For The First Time

CBC Music have shared video of Rush performing at the 2026 Juno Awards on Sunday night. The performance marked the first time the recently reunited band performed in public with new drummer Anika Nilles.

The trio, founding members Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, along with Nilles performed the song "Finding My Way", which is the first track from Rush's 1974 self-titled debut album.

Geddy explained to reporters after the performance how they selected the song, "You really can't ask us what song to play. If we have to choose one song, it's almost impossible. We have so many. So we just asked management, and they said first song, first album."

Alex jokingly added, "Also, it's the only song we know how to play." Nilles took over drums for the band's legendary late drummer and lyricist Neil Peart, and they were joined on stage by their touring keyboardist Loren Gold, who will also part of the band's upcoming tour that is set to kick off this June in Los Angeles.
