Hear Johnny Owens Tribute His Father Buck Owens With 'Together Again'

(Sexton) Johnny Owens, the youngest son of Country Music Hall of Fame member Buck Owens, continues to honor his father's enduring legacy and the iconic Bakersfield Sound with the release of his new single, "Together Again," available now.

Premiered by Cowboys & Indians, Owens returns with another heartfelt tribute to his father and the music that helped define a generation of country music. "Together Again" celebrates the timeless sound of Buck Owens while showcasing Johnny's dedication to keeping his father's music and the Bakersfield Sound alive more than 20 years after his passing.

"To the world, Buck Owens was a country music icon, but to me, he was simply Dad. This year marks 20 years since his passing, 60 years since Live at Carnegie Hall, and on Aug. 12, he would have turned 97. Releasing 'Together Again' felt like the perfect way to honor him. No one ever took the stage more naturally than my dad, and I hope this song reminds fans why his music and the Bakersfield Sound continue to live on."

Johnny Owens launched his upcoming full-length tribute album with the release of "Act Naturally," the first single from the 10-track collection honoring the remarkable career and lasting legacy of his father, Buck Owens. The album will feature songs spanning every era of Buck's career, including "Big in Vegas," "Act Naturally," "Streets of Bakersfield," and more. Through these classic songs, Johnny is keeping his father's music alive while introducing a new generation to the traditional country sound and storytelling that helped make Buck Owens one of the most influential artists in country music.
