Thomas Edwards Announces New EP With 'Ain't All Roses' Stream

(Warner Records Nashville) Thomas Edwards releases his new track, "Ain't All Roses," out now. The track comes alongside the announcement of Edwards' upcoming debut EP, High Times. Setting the stage for a new era, High Times promises a bold, vulnerable look into Edwards' evolving sound.

Speaking on the forthcoming EP, Edwards said, "The High Times EP is my first cohesive and intentional music project as an artist. Each song in the High Times EP corresponds with the cycles of grief after breaking up from a loving romantic relationship. From anger to acceptance, these are the emotions I felt the year leading up to recording, and wanted to capture and express these feelings the best way I know how-writing and singing them. I hope you enjoy this emotional roller coaster of an EP!"

High Times, recorded at the renowned FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, seeks to showcase the importance of "getting real musicians in a space, capturing real stories." Steeped in authenticity, the project showcases Edwards at both his sharpest and at his most vulnerable.

Kicking off the EP, "Ain't All Roses" details the sting of being left behind when love alone isn't enough to make someone stay. Driven by vibrant, traditional country instrumentation and Edwards' signature raw vocals, the song confronts the realization that love isn't always as simple, or lasting, as it seems:

Oh wish I'd have noticed

The words I left unsaid just left you broken

And oh, all I know is

When it comes to love, it ain't all roses

Written by Thomas Edwards alongside prolific country songwriters Jack Hummel and Jet Harvey, "Ain't All Roses" stands as an unfiltered reflection on love lost, combining honest lyricism with a timeless Southern sound and providing an introduction to Edwards' strikingly personal High Times.

With more new music on the horizon, Edwards continues to pull back the curtain with his most genuine work to date as he prepares to release his debut full-length project.
