(Warner) Singer-songwriter and creative visionary Remy Bond shares "Cherry Red Balloon," a glistening and timeless ode to escapism out now via Warner Records. The dreamy single follows her acclaimed Backstage at the Tropicana EP, and arrives alongside an appropriately kaleidoscopic visualizer.

"After feeling an otherworldly euphoria, there's a moment of quiet for me - a calm after the storm", says Remy. "Cherry red balloon is about going from feeling something so intensely to something painfully subtle. Having a euphoric night out, to waking up and going about mundane daily tasks, like the morning commute."

"Cherry Red Balloon" immediately drops the listener into Remy's retro-refracted fantasy as she namechecks the fictional island once dreamed up by the Beach Boys: "I have to take this, Kokomo's calling / I need a vacation, the shadows are talking / There's only one way there, no ticket, no plane fare / I gotta get there soon." Her enchanting vocals transcend time, floating over a thoroughly modern swirl of psychedelia, chillwave, and groove-heavy synth-pop. The song came to life under the production of John Ryan (Sabrina Carpenter, One Direction, Olivia Dean), who co-wrote the track alongside Remy and Lucy Healey (LISA, Madison Beer).

The new music is Remy's first since November's Backstage at the Tropicana, a glamorous swan dive into her one-of-one musical world, which seamlessly weaves her lifelong nostalgia for Americana writ large with contemporary sonic flourishes and lyrics. The eight-song EP includes her breakthrough cut "Summer Song," co-written with Air's Jean-Benoît Dunckel, alongside singles and highlights like "Skin Tight Jeans," "Moviestar," "Star Shaped Baby," "Don't Go Back to Paris," and the Genesis-interpolating "Hawaiian Dream."
