(MUSES) In the wake of his most ground-breaking year to date, highlighted by the release of his 2025 debut album "NO SKIPS," released via Provident Entertainment/Sony, rising alt-pop singer-songwriter bodie - known for his genre-blurring sound and breakthrough run on The Voice Season 22 - today returns with the first taste of a brand-new era of music.
"OBSESSED," bodie's latest single, is a pure alt-rock confection that's anchored by a slinky, synth-drenched piano line. "I'm obsessed with the presence of God," says bodie "This song leans into the idea that what the world calls obsession or co-dependency... might actually be the healthiest place you can live when it comes to a relationship with God. I hope this song makes you smile and punch a hole in your drywall."
bodie is keeping his foot firmly on the gas in 2026: following February's inaugural "LOVESICK" Christian Music Festival, the singer-songwriter is currently on tour with Colton Dixon as part of Dixon's "the love I have for you" tour. Additionally, bodie is also currently working on a batch of forthcoming new music set to be released at a later date.
NO SKIPS marked the culmination of a slew of new bodie music released last year, including the debut album's feel-good title track, "GOOD OLD DAYS" and "SAY SO" in addition to its accompanying music video, inspired by MTV's legendary Jackass-era antics. bodie's radio single, "whisper and the wind," from the HAPPY TO BE HERE EP (Provident Entertainment/SONY) ascended to the Top 10 on both the Billboard Airplay and the Mediabase Audience charts and amassed over 38 million global streams to date.
bodie was also nominated for 2 Dove Awards including Rock/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year, and Short Form Music Video of the Year (Concept) for "RIP." Additionally, bodie was nominated at the Klove awards for his 'breakout single' for "whisper and the wind," as well as a winner at the We Love Christian Music Awards and also won the grand prize in the prestigious International Songwriting Competition (ISC) along with his songwriting team - Sajan Nauriyal, and Wes Strunk - for the co-written "whisper and the wind." Judges included Paul Stanley (KISS), Joe Hahn (Linkin Park), Elle King, Tom Waits, Kristian Bush (Sugarland), Nancy Wilson (Heart), NEEDTOBREATHE, and more. The winning composition captivated ISC's esteemed panel of judges with its compelling lyricism and emotional resonance - rising above the 14,000 submissions from 112 countries. The International Songwriting Competition (ISC) is widely recognized as the world's most prestigious songwriting competition.
