(Epic) Tyla teams up with Zara Larsson for the steamy new single "SHE DID IT AGAIN". The powerhouse collaboration blends hypnotic and propulsive pop, and sultry R&B, and is the lead single from Tyla's highly anticipated sophomore album.
"SHE DID IT AGAIN" combines the enthralling vocals and charisma of two siren-like stars over a driving mix of deep bass, glowing keys, shuffling drums, and dark atmosphere. Tyla's honeyed voice comes first as she issues a warning to her suitors: "I'm addictive, baby, what you want me to do? / Not a quick fix, one hit might ruin you." As the track heats up, Zara takes her turn, her vocals cascading over the beat: "Put a man on his knees, not trying to tease / Oops, did it again like Britney / That's how it is, that's all I know / Not like anyone you met before me, hmmm."
The super sticky hook, which they take turns singing, is the perfect collision of Y2K nostalgia and Tyla's modern globe-spanning sound: "I got ya like uh-ohhh uh-ohhh, she did it again / Even when you feel like you can, ya can't get me out of your head." The official music video captures the vibe, finding Tyla and Zara dancing through desert architecture and waterfall scenes - not a man in sight and no need. They bring more than enough heat to the screen.
"SHE DID IT AGAIN" arrives following a series of massive wins for both artists. Most recently, they racked up a stack of American Music Awards nominations. Tyla nabbed four including Best Female R&B Artist, Best Afrobeats Artist, and - for her ongoing smash "CHANEL" - Social Song of the Year and Best Music Video. Zara earned nods for Breakthrough Pop Artist, and Breakthrough Album of the Year for her acclaimed Midnight Sun, plus three more for her currently ascendent PinkPantheress team-up, "Stateside," including Song of the Summer.
