Indigo Syndicate Gets Fans Dancing With 'dwn4smr'

(PN) Indigo Syndicate returns just in time for the summer heat with "dwn4smr," a track clearly built with the club in mind. Driven by a heavy, infectious bassline that hits immediately, the song doesn't waste time pulling listeners onto the dance floor. "Honestly, I kind of just bought clay on a whim and started making these cute little characters, then taught myself how to do stop motion," says singer Sam. "I'm still learning, but for my first attempt it turned out pretty okay. It was Jharyss' idea to give the character a baboon booty, and obviously we had to make it clap. The song itself is kind of this pointless summer song, so we figured the music video should feel pointless and mysterious too. We love the idea of people finishing one of our videos and thinking, 'What the hell did I just watch?' At the same time, we're all really creative people and always trying to find new ways to express that outside of just the music."
