(PIAS) DJ Shadow has today announced details of a 30th anniversary edition of his acclaimed and much-loved debut, Endtroducing. A cinematic masterpiece, this new edition, out September 18, 2026, on Mo'Wax / [PIAS] Recordings, was originally released in September 1996.
Still very much a milestone in instrumental hip-hop, the album was ranked highly in several albums of the year lists and was certified platinum in the U.K. Recorded at his home studio and The Glue Factory in San Francisco, Dan The Automator's studio, the album is widely regarded as the first sample only album having been put together using just an Akai MPC60 MkII sampler, a Technics SL-1200 turntable and an Alesis ADAT tape recorder. Pre-order the album here.
Additionally, DJ Shadow heads out on an Endtroducing 30th Anniversary Tour later this year across North America, including dates in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago and many more.
Earlier this year DJ Shadow also released The Mo'Wax Singles 1993-1997, an 8x12" box set which collected all his original single releases for Mo'Wax featuring alternative mixes and edits never before heard, as well as a bonus disc of original demos. Many of these singles have now been re-released on streaming music platforms with the original release date and artwork.
