(EM) Savage Hands confront the distance between loving someone and being able to save them on their latest single, "Bullet Through A Halo", out now via Oxide Music.
Caught between the fear of losing someone and the grief of learning to live without them, the track explores what happens when a connection that once made life feel whole becomes the absence that changes it all.
Fresh off the momentum of "It's Me" being featured on SiriusXM Octane and "One Last Kiss" finding solace in facing the end together, "Bullet Through A Halo" wrestles with the possibility of being left behind. Drawing on the tension between heavenly imagery and earthly suffering, Savage Hands trace the conflicting impulses of grief and make room for the devotion, helplessness, and uncertainty that can exist all at once.
Speaking to the distance between holding on and learning to let go on "Bullet Through A Halo", vocalist Mike Garrow shares:
"Bullet Through A Halo represents one of the many stages of grief that come with losing someone or something. When we experience loss, our minds can become scattered with conflicting emotions, memories, questions, and uncertainty. Bullet Through A Halo is our representation of that grief, an attempt to encapsulate the feeling of being lost within it, questioning life, meaning, and everything around you in the wake of loss."
Guided early on by multi-platinum producers Andrew Baylis (Jelly Roll, Sleeping With Sirens, etc) and Lee Rouse (The Funeral Portrait, Teddy Swims, Outlier, etc), Savage Hands have sharpened their craft into a volatile blend of ominous atmosphere, sledgehammer riffs, and skyscraping choruses. A hybrid sound that dissolves the lines between post-hardcore, metalcore, and alternative rock, all while hitting with precision and purpose.
Propelled by the success of previous singles, "Demon", "Washed Away", and "Halo", the quintet have been in constant forward motion since their 2018 debut, amassing over 55 million streams along the way. From steely Maryland roots to festival stages, Savage Hands' relentless drive has shaped a previous that thrives on the collision of chaos and catharsis bleeding into one another. With their latest releases, "One Last Kiss", "Bruise", "It's Me", "Feel Me", "POWER", Savage Hands are opening the door to a new chapter, one that's heavier, sharper and more unapologetic than anything that's come before.
